Trying to find more information on how the under-15 social media ban in France impacts Mastodon/fediverse servers, and while I can't see anything too concrete on that, I did come across this 2024 The Guardian article:

Goddamn it I sprained my foot.. Welp, it fucking hurts to walk now. Much more so running. I guess I finally have a reason to chill, but like I have work to do and place to be. It's why I'm being less online.

It'd be funny to walk and run on all fours cos you'd think I'm used to it. I'm a bear after all, but I'm not used to running on ground with my hands.. I gotta ask our house cat how he does it.

Mastodon has a built-in system to prevent you seeing the same post boosted again and again. However, it allows boosts to reappear if 40 other posts have passed through your main timeline, and this is why you may see the same boost repeated.

As the Fediverse is now much busier, Mastodon's devs are raising this number to 80 other posts (technical details are at https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/39784). This should hopefully be in the next update.
