The novel was first published in French 30 years ago but just translated this year and shortlisted for the International Booker Prize. If I can't buy it as a physical media for a one-time - price, then said corporations certainly don't want to make money off it and won't mind people sharing, as they refused to cash in on the demand.

                  • If it was my decision, Copyright would cease the moment one cannot legally obtain a physical one-time purchase copy under fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms, because the whole idea of Copyright was to grant 25 years of exclusive commercialization, not to commit creative and sociocultural "asset denial"!

Aceptar que la vida carece de sentido inherente no es resignación, es un llamado a vivir plenamente, a crear significado en cada acto, porque incluso en el silencio del mundo, la existencia merece ser abrazada.»

Did you know there are Dr Seuss versions of some HP Lovecraft books?

                                                          I did not.

Shows a cartoonish, not scary, illustration of Cthulhu as a green monster, in the style of drawing used by Dr. Seuss in his real children's books.

by Linda Dowler

From its first, anonymous appearance in Blackwood’s Magazine for September, 1829, the “Canadian Boat Song” has tantalized its admirers, for the question of its authorship has remained an unsolved puzzle. The literature which has been generated by the problem of attribution is consid erable; the following, while not attempting an exhaustive bibliographical listing, will trace the major turns of the argument as it has appeared in print. There are, in all, eight names in the list of those for whom the laurel of authorship has been claimed. They will be reviewed here in the order in which they were entered.
