Drew this lochness monster based on a favorite stuffed animal that one of my friend's daughter had. turned it into an engraved leatherette patch (with her name on it too) to put on her backpack. And a random doodle. I started 2 more sketches, but haven't had time to finish them yet.

This one came out interesting because I used an ink brush for everything but her skin. The ink brush has more vibrant colors, but you can’t add any shading because of the limited color pallete. I used the shader pen for her skin which lets you overlay color multiple times to get darker shades. I like the results.

Also noticed some April O’Neil vibes after I finished. 😅

Still blows me away to see what looks like a real pencil sketch on an e-ink tablet. And no graphite smudges all over my hand. 😅 And I still haven’t figured out why I’d much rather draw on this limited device over my iPad using ProCreate. I’d get much better results, endless tools, larger canvas, etc with my iPad, but drawing on this slow little device just brings so much more joy.

Kind of weird proportions, but sometimes I need to push myself and try things more difficult. I definitely have good and bad drawing days, but when I look back at the history of all my drawings on this tablet, I can definitely see that I am improving little by little.

Hands haven't been drawn yet because drawing hands are still me nemesis and I dread drawing them. I also need to do a little research on hand guns she can hold.

Update screenshot on this sketch. You can tell where my drawing weaknesses are because the lines start to get rough and the lines aren't confident (hands/fingers/guns). 😅

the pmjv (parkinson's faux layer) method use the background color to erase, but sparingly sketch red - this is the bulk of the picture. approximate thickly. detail blue - draw over it adding detail and filling gaps. run it pink - trace the whole thing leniently channel parkinson - especially on the top and bottom layers. do not be careful. each layer is meant to thicken the lines beneath it grab all the 3 colors and fill them black -> free shading do not touch it anymore!

I finished fixing the tachometer and completed a tune-up on my MG TD this evening. The next step? Sunset shakedown cruise!
