                At the farmers market enjoying the colors again. It was disappointing, though, to hear people getting snippy with some of the farmers for selling Colorado peaches “too early.” Given the wild weather this spring, it’s amazing that there is a peach crop at all this year. Sorry it’s “too early” for your convenience (and I’ll gladly accept any peaches you don’t want).

                                  I used to travel a lot on business back then, and Frankfurt am Main (#FFM) was often my base for various meetings. In the evenings, I’d wander around the city and try to unwind after the day’s work. Those were silly times, and when I look back on them now, there’s a lot I’d have done differently. But I probably wouldn’t be thinking that way today if I’d done it back then.

                                  It’s been far too long since I last got round to posting anything here - too much work, old habits, not enough time. Today’s #PhotoSuggestion, ‘Big #City at #Night’, is finally a good fit again.

                                                      oh hell yes: i've got css grid-lanes on my photo blog. much more performant and stable than js masonry.

                                                      only safari 26.4+ supports it, but hopefully other browsers will soon. (bad news: you need liquid glass to see it. good news: it's out of beta 🎉)

                                                      i've implemented it as a chain of progressive enhancement:
                                                      1. traditional css grid
                                                      2. js masonry for css grid
                                                      3. css grid-lanes
