This is a landscape format photo (taken outdoors in the summer) of a flower with yellow petals, and a green centre. Other buds can be seen behind the flower, and all have green stems. The camera aperture was chosen so that the background is blurred while the buds are just slightly out of focus.

Black-and-white nature photograph focused on a fragment of a birch tree. Its trunk occupies the central part of the frame and leans slightly on a diagonal. The pale, almost white bark is cracked, rough and marked by dark grooves, creating a strong, almost graphic texture. A thin branch with a few leaves grows from the trunk, while a single leaf on the right draws attention with its delicacy against the rugged surface of the bark. The rest of the forest is heavily blurred. The vertical silhouettes of the trees dissolve into light and dark bands, becoming more a rhythm of light and shadow than a clearly defined landscape. The shallow depth of field separates the birch from its surroundings and gives this single tree an individual presence among the anonymous multitude of trunks. The image can also be read symbolically. It becomes a story about noticing the individual among many similar presences, about a detail that suddenly stops being part of the background. Here, sharpness becomes more than a photographic technique: it marks the boundary between what is truly seen and what is merely sensed. The forest remains present, but for a moment its story gives way to one tree, one texture, and one small leaf.

The tide was full, and the water had gone completely flat, so the stone arches came out twice in the frame. We were lucky. The weather back home in Blarney was atrocious, with rain falling from cloudy skies....

Straight-on slose-up (macro) of a red-orange dahlia that more than fills the frame, cutting off some of the top and bottom of the blossom. The petals are all completely tubular. Drops of water are visible in many of the petals. The background is completely out of focus greenery with a couple blurred spots of orange and pink in the upper corners.

We have been happy with the flowering of our beans ,unfortunately they are being affected by hot sunshine that may reduce the harvests if we don't receive enough rainfall very soon.
However, this is not the end of everything as we have to fight against hunger in any possible ways .
