      I finished reading Slow Horses by Mick Herron a few days ago. I’d already watched Season 1 of the Apple TV adaptation, but I actually began the book series at book six. Now I’m circling back to read books one through five, and it’s turning into a surprisingly fun backward dive. Slow Horses was recently released in a hardcover collector’s edition, which is a nice bonus—my bookcase is slowly shaping up into a proper Slough House lineup.

      If you’re not familiar, Slow Horses follows a crew of MI5 agents who, thanks to various professional missteps, have been exiled to a shabby London building called Slough House. They’re led by Jackson Lamb, a comically crusty Cold War leftover who mostly wants to keep his misfits occupied with meaningless office work so they don’t wander off and get tangled in real spycraft—which, of course, they inevitably do. The story blends comedy, adventure, and a wonderfully dark sense of humor.

      If you’ve watched the Apple TV series, you’ll be interested to know the show strays from the book in a few places. What’s different? Well, you won’t find any spoilers here—but it is fun to spot the changes.

                                                  During my recent adventures in , where I have been riding my bike and photographing with the tiny OM System TG-7, I began to wonder if I could use it for more creative, experimental images.
                                                  While the RAW files from the tiny sensor needed a lot of work before I was happy with them, the answer is yes.
                                                  Here I used the TG-7 to record abstract reflections on the surface of a large pond on a dull, grey day with little light or contrast.

                                                                              Taken earlier in the year on a multi-day hike in Kosciuszko.

                                                                              After hiking that day & setting up we headed out for sunset & made our way out to the edge of the mountain, there was a valley sucking clouds up the side of the mountain which were then breaking up into pieces

                                                                              It definitely made for a nice watch as the sun got lower then finally dipped, cloaking the area in cold & dark

                                                                              Tech: 2 hand-held shots f/11, ISO 100, 1/50sec at 24mm
