The Godfather novel.

It's interesting comparing what happens in the book to what happens in the movies because Mario Puzo wrote the screenplay.

The line "Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes" doesn't actually appear in the book. It's a little bit different and it is Tom Hagen who says it, explaining what the fish means.

It is also Michael who asks what it means, not Sonny.

It doesn't necessarily matter who says what, but Hagen in the book shows he has more Sicilian knowledge than some of the family. Hagen's character seems more important and more impressive.

Also Sonny seems quite clever in the book and a good leader. The reason he would make a bad leader is that he takes things too personally and is hot-headed. But other than that he's clever and knowledgable.

In fact, so far, Michael seems very unknowledgeable, not showing any leadership skills and generally being inexperienced.

I think in the film he quite quickly shows more mafia insight.

Wild that after a 10 year buildup to Infinity War and Endgame, Avengers: Doomsday is coming out this year with just a tag in the Fantastic Four movie for setup.

Once the Kang/Multiverse plot fell apart behind the scenes and got axed, seems like all overall planning fell apart.

Much as I didn't want another 10 year buildup to the next event, I think I wanted *some* buildup before the next one.

Total Recall turns 36 years old today. It premiered back in 1990.

Based off "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" penned by Philip K. Dick, it earned $260+ million dollars.

It did get a 2012 remake, but I think it's safe to say the original is better received.

Was thinking about @justincox 's article when I read the reviews for Mandalorian and Grogu. Sometimes all we need is a spaghetti western in space, and this movie delivered. If we go in expecting to criticise for it's shortcomings we will stop enjoying popcorn flicks.
I enjoyed Mandalorian and Grogu for what it was - a fun space romp, even if I had wished the script had more polished dialogue, the aliens be more alien and speak their languages, it was really fun.
