The subtitle reads SCIENCE FICTION above the title and SCIENCE FACT below the title. Other contributors listed are SAM NICHOLSON, Dean Ing, and Schmidt. The cover price is $1.25.

The illustration depicts a large, white, ring-shaped space station in orbit around a planet. The station consists of a thick outer ring connected to a central cylindrical hub by various structural struts and spokes. Several large, flat, rectangular solar panels extend outward from the station's structure. Small, spherical objects in shades of yellow, orange, and light blue are positioned around the station and the planet's surface. A white spacecraft with two large cylindrical engines at the rear is flying toward the left side of the frame, positioned near the outer edge of the station's ring. The background is a dark blue expanse of space filled with numerous small, white dots representing stars. In the lower right corner, a portion of a planet is visible, featuring white clouds and patches of blue and brown surface. The space station and spacecraft are primarily white with gray shading to indicate depth and structure. The lighting is bright, coming from an unseen source, casting shadows on the undersides of the station's modules and the spacecraft's hull. No artist signature is visible on the cover.

The illustration depicts three figures in a dark, cavernous setting. On the left, a man with brown skin stands facing right. He wears a white feathered headdress, a white fringed garment on his arms and legs, and a red loincloth. He holds a circular, light-colored object above his head with both hands. In the center, a person with light skin and dark hair is positioned in profile, facing right. This figure wears a white sleeveless top and a long, flowing skirt composed of white, blue, and light pink fabric sections. Their right arm is raised toward the top of the frame. On the right, a dark, black-colored figure with multiple arms sits in a crouched position. This figure has white, circular and linear markings on its torso and limbs. Behind the figures, dark blue and black shapes suggest a cave or rocky interior. A white, jagged line, resembling a lightning bolt, extends from the top right toward the center. In the bottom right, a shallow, circular dish contains orange and red embers. The background contains patches of dark blue, grey, and black. The text for the title and author is printed in white lettering over the dark background.

For Angus MacLeod
Headmaster, and Editor of Gaelic Poems

Today they laid him in the earth's cold colour,
a man from Lewis with his seventy-five
years struck from his head. Teacher, scholar,
he had worked a true task when all alive,

building a school, elucidating texts.
The Gaelic shone quite clearly in his bones.
A casket filled with ashes had been mixed
with filtered sunlight and the small stones.

A useful life with pupils and with poems:
sufficient honours (his humour asked no more)
he takes his place in many minds and rooms.
Without their knowing it, his patient care

instructs far hands to turn a new lever,
a voice to speak in a mild-mannered tone.
The deeds we do reverberate forever.
Inveterate justice weighs the flesh and bone.

His best editions are some men and women
who scrutinise each action like a word.
The truest work is learning to be human
definitive texts the poorest can afford.
