The Net turns 31 years old today. It premiered back in 1995. As such, I treated myself to a re-watch.

With how fast technology was moving in 1995, it's not surprising that it doesn't hold up in 2026. Still, It's a great look back.

"The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel."

"Neuromancer" will be ten episodes and is set to premiere on January 22, 2027 on Apple TV.

Hopefully this adaptation stays true to what William Gibson put on paper back in 1984.

It's about 8pm EST and that means it's ONLY ONE HOUR LEFT until the weekly monster movie watch party! If you want to avoid a bunch of goofy toots, best set up a hashtag filter.

If you'd like to join in, this week's movie is BEGINNING OF THE END (1957), a black and white classic about giant maneating grasshoppers! It's a hoot.

The flick's available free with ads over on Tubi: tubitv.com/movies/100056094/be

Or you can download from Archive.org over here: archive.org/details/Beginningo

Just hit play at the top of the hour and toot along! See you there!

Amazon will be releasing all right episodes at once. Hopefully it'll be a binge worthy chapter in the Blade Runner universe.

                🎞️ CINE 🎞️
                9/10
                .
