I was pretty terse".</p><p>After the audition, Maxwell Martin was informed by her agent that her first audition had impressed and the Motherland team wanted to see her a second time.</p><p>"I went, 'Nope. Why do they want to meet me again?'                               Alt...<p>Pluribus creator Vince Gilligan has shared an update on the eagerly anticipated second season of his acclaimed Apple TV sci-fi drama – and it sounds as though fans shouldn't expect new episodes imminently.</p><p>The series, which stars Better Call Saul's Rhea Seehorn as author Carol Sturka, became one of the most talked-about sci-fi shows of 2025.</p><p>Pluribus follows Carol after a mysterious event links most of humanity into a blissful hive mind, leaving her as one of the few people still seemingly immune – and, by extension, one of the only people capable of resisting.</p><p>While season 2 was already confirmed before the first run had even aired, Gilligan has now indicated that the writing process is still ongoing.</p><p>Speaking to <a href="https://deadline.com/2026/06/vince-gilligan-rhea-seehorn-pluribus-interview-1236950281/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Deadline</a>, the Breaking Bad creator said: "We’re about a little past the halfway point. She and Will then bullied Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) into staying silent, though he eventually went to the police and she was arrested.</p><p>At the time, there wasn't enough evidence to charge her, until Will finally decided to talk about their relationship and was taken into custody.</p><p>News then reached the cobbles that Megan had been released and in recent scenes, she <a href="https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/soaps/coronation-street/coronation-street-spoilers-megan-walsh-secret-return-flashbacks-murder-night/">attempted to make contact</a> with Will.</p><p>It was reported last month that <a href="https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/soaps/coronation-street/coronation-street-beth-nixon-megan-walsh-exit-newsupdate/">Nixon will bow out of the soap</a>, with details of her exit storyline yet to be confirmed.                                   <p>Russell Crowe has suggested that <a href="https://www.radiotimes.com/movies/gladiator-ii-review/">Gladiator II</a> failed to connect with audiences in the same way as the original film because it lacked the "moral core" that made Maximus’s story so powerful.</p><p>The actor, who won an Oscar for his performance as Roman general-turned-gladiator Maximus Decimus Meridius in Ridley Scott’s 2000 epic, did not return for the 2024 sequel, which instead focused on Lucius, played by Paul Mescal.</p><p>Speaking at the Taormina Film Festival, Crowe reflected on the success of the first film and said he believed its emotional appeal rested on Maximus’s unwavering devotion to his murdered wife and child.</p><p>He recalled resisting studio suggestions during production that Maximus should have sex scenes, arguing that they would undermine the central drive of the character.</p><p>"I just kept pushing back," Crowe said (via <a href="https://deadline.com/2026/06/russell-crowe-taormina-film-festival-bear-country-1236955622/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Deadline)</a>. "I said, 'This is a story about a man who’s avenging the death of his wife and his child. There cannot be a moment on that journey where he stops and has sex with somebody. It doesn’t make any sense… that destroys the journey'.</p><p>"They fought me, they sent me letters about it and everything, and I just stuck to my guns.
