                                    Yesterday morning, I mowed the paths that cut across the hayfields. In the afternoon, I walked the same route.

                                    It’s been 6 weeks since the hay was mowed, and the fields now have a lot of red clover and birdsfoot trefoil in blossom — along with a surprise butterfly milkweed.

                                    A wide mowed path descends a a gradual slope toward the woods. In the green vegetation beside the path, one can see red clover blossoms and yellow trefoil. Also, white wild carrot flowers. Blue sky with cotton ball clouds.

                                                                I went for another hike yesterday on my Colorado adventure. This time I drove the car up to a ridge in the foothills of the mountains, then hiked a loop along the ridge. The trail took me through a mix of forested areas, lookout points to see expansive views of the valley, and meadows. There were many beautiful wildflowers such as this in the meadows.

A bumblebee landed on one of the flowers just as I took the photo! The meadow has dry tan grass. Green evergreen trees on the horizon. This trail is in Mount Falcon Park out of the West Trailhead. This park is outside Denver, Colorado.

                                                                  Going with a comforting floral motif in a gorgeous teal ink for today's drawing. I also finished a piece on watercolor paper. Feels good to finish bigger projects.
