        I'll throw this out there again. I have a great idea for a trans comedy, but I'm not trans and am not the person to write it. I have no idea what that feels like from the inside, and inner monologue is necessary for this one.

        J Edgar Hoover, the rabidly right-wing director of the FBI, was a trans woman. This is not much of a secret--I read it in the newspaper in the 80s. I see there being a rich vein of humor in this. Hell, it would be fun to do for real, but I'm more of a storyteller and the story I think needs to be told is this: the modern trans community posthumously adopts J Edgar and rehabilitates her reputation from the dustbin of history. You can make a legitimate argument that her abuses of power were simply a reaction to persecution, and she was one of the most powerful people in the world for fifty years. That's no small achievement for anyone.

        So let's drag J Edgar into the present and paint her pink. Think of how hard a troll that would be on today's nazi clowns. Please. Someone. Write this, make a movie, something. It's long overdue.

                                              @lydiaconwell It is available online, and I have used Awesome Books in the past. My concern is that I already have so many books to read I do not want to add another book on to the three piles that are already in my and waiting to be .

                                              The was released in 1982 and centres around an American Green Beret veteran and his struggle against a Pacific Northwest sheriff and the National Guard.

                                              I wanted to read the book to see how it compares with the film adaptation.

                                                The Godfather Novel vs Movie/Male appendage [SENSITIVE CONTENT]

                                                There are a few things in the the Godfather novel that explain things a bit more clearly than the movie. One is that Michael was always intended to be the heir to Don Corleone's business, but his choice to fight in WWII and disobey his father put an end to that.

                                                That's not all that clear from the movie.

                                                There's also the part where the FBI show up and take photos of the car numberplates at the wedding. The Godfather told the guests to come in borrowed cars, so none of that was a problem. Sonny wasn't supposed to go out to shout at the FBI, but the Godfather liked it because it made it look like they weren't expecting the FBI.

                                                There's also a part in the movie that always puzzled me. It's the part when a woman is gesturing with her hands what looks like the size of the man's penis. After gesturing a particularly large size and getting a shocked reaction, the woman suddenly looks troubled.

                                                It turns out that that's Sonny's wife who has had some difficultly with the size of his manhood. The novel goes into Sonny's penis quite a bit. It's a bit gross really. But now that part of the film makes sense to me.

                                                    Watched Dirty Harry which is a very well made movie that has a very gross moral code at numerous points. The guy who plays Vertigo, who'd later go on to give a great performance in Hellraiser, is great and I'm glad they made Harry's violation of Constitutional rights the reason a serial killer gets back out on the street, but it does ya know, glorify Harry's actions.
