    Yesterday, my husband and I still decided to go for a walk in the evening. It was still no dusk but we were followed by 8 cats! 7×🐈 1×🐈‍⬛This was a picture!

    We just came down the street and then up and back.

    As we were still in ⁨⁩ and had "only" four ⁨⁩ and ways to strive through nature, we came really far.

    Hopefully we'll find a new ⁨⁩ close to ⁨⁩ again soon.

                                                      A nice surprise on the trails yesterday. A bird that I see occasionally. My last photos of a Cedar waxwing were in 2020.

                                                      A medium size bird with a light brown-orangy body and crest, a short black beak and a black mask over its eyes. The tip of its long tail is bright yellow, its back is mostly grey with two bright red spots at the tip of some feathers in mid-body. It is in a tree with green leaves and looks to its left.

Peeking through the evergreen branches in the breeze, it's a treat to see these adorable, 9-10 days old Anna's Hummingbird chicks in their tiny nest, in their natural habitat with their protective, caring mother perched at the edge of the nest and even more special to capture their feeding. The nestlings are growing strong day by day. Their eyes are already opened and can regulate their body temperature, so mom spends more time away from the nest, looking for insects for her babies as a great protein source. She usually returns and feed them in every 45 minutes. Taken from a distance with a telephoto lens at an undisclosed location in Edmonds, Washington on April 20th, 2026.

                                                                      Had a great day hiking to waterfalls yesterday in the White Mountains, NH. Six beautiful waterfalls involving three trailheads and four trails. More pics (and a video) to come, but will be hitting the trails again shortly.
